Introducing Residents Desk: A New Hub for Creative Work in Australia

Residents Desk is a calm, community-first space for Australia’s music and creative industries—built by creatives, for creatives. Think LinkedIn combined with Notion, but tailored for Australia: no algorithms, follower games, or Silicon Valley noise. Just people, projects, and practical tools in one place to plan, collaborate, and complete the work.
At its core are creative and business profiles inspired by the early internet’s DIY spirit—part portfolio, part workspace, part calling card. Artists, managers, designers, and organisations can craft profiles that feel personal and expressive, not just transactional. Like Myspace once did for music discovery, Residents Desk allows you to showcase your projects, aesthetics, and collaborations while staying grounded in professional tools.
It combines profiles, project workspaces, collaboration calls, and shared resources, enabling teams to form quickly and move from idea to output with clarity. Discover talent and opportunities through a national directory and the Collab Cloud, organise your work with flexible boards and documents, and streamline essentials with straightforward tools for budgets, contracts, and timelines.
Born from the need to connect a fragmented landscape, Residents Desk aims to make creative work easier to access, more transparent to navigate, and fairer to participate in—across cities and regions alike. We’re building this with the community, starting simple and continuously improving. We welcome ideas, feedback, and collaboration.
Build. Share. Connect—together. - coming soon !

We respectfully acknowledge the First Nations Peoples globally, and pay tribute to Elders past, present, and emerging. As participants in Australia’s creative industry, we honour the Traditional Custodians of these lands—the Midjungbal, Yugambeh, Arakwal, Meanjin, and Gadigal peoples. Indigenous Australians are the world’s oldest continuous storytellers and artists. We celebrate the cultural richness and wisdom of all Indigenous and First Nations peoples, whose deep connection to land, sea, and sky continues to inspire. We accept the invitation of the Uluru Statement from the Heart to walk together for a better future.
